WhatsApp will soon allow iOS users to edit delivered messages

WhatsApp is working on a future release that will allow users to edit text messages, according to information cited on WABetaInfo.

According to the publication, WhatsApp will not include an edit history feature that allows users to see earlier versions of altered messages, but since the feature is still in development, this could change.

Additionally, the time window within which people will be able to edit their messages is currently unknown. When WhatsApp first launched the ability to delete a transmitted message, users had seven minutes to do so.

WABetaInfo has released a screenshot of the Android app, but the publication has confirmed that the feature is also being developed for WhatsApp on iOS and the desktop.

Reactions, larger group chats, more people on a group voice chat, and increased file size when sending attachments have all been added to WhatsApp in the last few weeks.

The company is also working on support for previously neglected devices like the iPad.

Are you excited about being able to edit WhatsApp messages and other features the company might have in store for users?
