TECNO Phantom X was launched in Ghana last night, July 2, 2021, at the Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Centre. The Phantom series is TECNO’s top flagship device; it releases every other year just to make sure the device stands out and commands the attention it deserves especially because TECNO is best-known as a leading manufacturer of budget phones.
The last time a Phantom was released in Ghana was in 2019, and I had the honours of reviewing the Phantom 9 as it was called.
A lot happened at the launch last night, we witnessed the brand ambassador, Stonebwoy, and his friends’ lit up the evening with amazing performances into the night. But wait … This is not an entertainment blog; let’s focus on what matters — TECNO Phantom X.
In 2019, TECNO released the Phantom 9 in Ghana, retailing at GHC 1299, but this year the price of the new Phantom is twice its price from 2019. The Phantom X is retailing at GHC 2795.

Drawing from my experience with the Phantom 9, this new Phantom X comes with big improvements from design to hardware. I was completely impressed after spending a few minutes with it.
