Carifika: Information Technology Technician – Volunteer (Remote)

The position of Enterprise Applications Developer will play a key role in the Applications Support Team within the IT Department.

This team is tasked with providing systems analysis and application support services for the E-courses’ enterprise systems.

Included in the service portfolio will be the development of a wide range of technology solutions, particularly in the areas of reporting, data analytics, and business process analysis.

Responsibilities will include: working on database applications while also utilizing reporting and integration tools alongside providing design, analytical, troubleshooting, and solution development support.

Preferred but not Required

Experience with MSSQL database application programming with demonstrable ability to develop applications using SQL and/or PL/SQL; Ability to construct complex SQL statements.

Working experience with relational databases and relational database design, preferably SQL or equivalent. Including complex inquiries, views, stored procedures, logic structure diagrams.

Proficient in querying, reporting, and analytics tools. Experience with ERP system support; VTiger, PHP BB, YClas Composur, Zoom, Anchors, Collabtive, Channel, Stripe pay, and future pay, etc.

Some familiarity with Business Objects, Tableau, or equivalent Enterprise Reporting Solutions is desirable

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build and manage Carifika’s Database
  • Utilization of Carifika Canada’s IT support program to provide Tech Support
  • Setting up accounts for new users, troubleshooting emails, and program-related issues (Printers, scanners
  • Construct IT protocols and procedures
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Training new staff
  • Testing new technology
