CarIndigo introduces $1000 car essay scholarship for African American students

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the financial situation has been quite tough for everyone in the U.S. As a sight of financial relief & to raise the spirits of the students, CarIndigo has released a Scholarship Program to support the African American community of our country.

The scholarship offers a grant of $1,000 to the top 10 African American students, who are 18+ years in age & are permanent residents in the U.S. The program is aimed to promote the car culture in the U.S and also provide an esteemed platform for car enthusiasts of our nation.

CarIndigo invites all the African American students with a minimum GPA of 2.5% or above on a scale of 4 & 7.5% or above on the scale of 10 by registering themselves, using the link below. Beginning from February 01, 2022, all the registered students will have to submit a 1,200 to 1,500 words review of a car that is on sale in the U.S in 2021.

The submission has to be done before May 10, 2022, & the top 10 reviews will receive a $1,000 grant, that can be used towards education or the betterment of the community.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship

Only the African American students, who are permanent residents of the U.S can apply for the Car Review Scholarship program. The registered students will be required to write a review of a maximum of 1,500 words for a car that is on sale in the U.S in the year 2021.

Each & every student will have to follow the given rules:

• The candidate must be 18 years or older during admission.
• The candidate must have secured admission in any Undergraduate/Postgraduate course in any reputed educational institution in the United States.
• The submitted Review/Essay must not be plagiarized.
• The Essay/Review should be of a Car that is on sale in the USA in 2021.
• The assignment should be between 1200-1500 words.
• The Top 10 entries will be featured on the website and the Best Review wins the $1000 Scholarship.

How to Apply for the $1000 Car Review/Essay Scholarship for African American Students

All the applicants need to first fill out the form using the link mentioned at the bottom & register themselves for the scholarship program. Once done, the registered candidates can then submit their reviews online from 1st February 2022 onwards and will be closed on 10th May 2022.

Rules and Guidelines for the Scholarship:

• The application must be submitted online, and offline work will not be accepted.
• Filling out personal information such as name, contact information, education qualification, the background is a must.
• The essay should not exceed more than 1500 words.
• The essay must be precise, to the point, with no grammatical errors.
• The essay must not contain any obscene, pornographic, libelous, targeting religious sentiments or objectionable elements, which otherwise shall render the entry disqualified.
• No edits or changes can be made once the essay has been submitted.
• Please note that only 10 candidates will be selected for the grant.
• The amount will be directly paid to the institute where the applicant has secured admission.
• The amount shall be disbursed once the candidate has enrolled herself/himself in the institution and submits proof for the same.
• No cash equivalent prize shall be awarded, as this is a cash-only scholarship.
• The candidate cannot transfer or assign the amount without the discretion of the sponsor.
• Scholarship amount will be awarded in full regard to official rules and post verification of the applicant.
• Tax from the scholarship prize will be deducted as per Section 194B of the Income Tax Act of the United States of America.
• Results will be declared on August 20th, 2022.

Selection Criteria for the $1,000 Car Review/Essay Scholarship for African American Students

All the registered candidates will be going through a screening process, following the mentioned guidelines. Therefore, all of the applicants are required to follow these steps.

• The essay must be submitted within the appropriate deadline.
• The submission must adhere to the word limit.
• The candidate must have completed his High School or 10+2 equivalent.
• The essay has to be genuine and must not be plagiarised.
• The submission shall be deemed disqualified if the above-mentioned criteria are not met.
• The reward will go to the second-highest scorer in case the winning candidate fails to present documents of admission.
• The selection of the winner will solely depend on the sponsor. The decision will be final and binding.

The criteria on which the essay would be judged are as follows:

• The submission form must include all personal details.
• Grammatical mistakes shall not be tolerated.
• Proper sentence formation is an absolute must.
• Creativity and articulation of words must be reflected.
• Important questions must be aptly answered.

Terms and Conditions for $1,000 Car Review/Essay Scholarship African American Students

CarIndigo will reward only one student with an amount of $1000 for his/her education in the United States. The terms and conditions for the same are as follows:

• Only candidates who have qualified for the eligibility criteria will be awarded the scholarship.
• The prize money will be directly transferred to the institute in the US.
• Candidates must fill in all the details that are required. Any form with incomplete information will be considered disqualified.
• The submission must be written in English only.
• The candidate can submit only one application form. Please ensure it is your final write-up.
• Candidates entering just information are not considered proof of delivery or submission of the form.
• The applications, once submitted, are the property of the sponsor and will not be revoked.
• If the scholarship prize winner fails to provide identity proof, submit any required document, or otherwise doesn’t meet eligibility criteria, it will be considered disqualified.
• The sponsor will not be liable for any injuries, losses, or damages that occurred in the process of application form submission.
• Taxes on the scholarship prize stand as the scholarship prize recipient’s responsibility.
• Taxes will be deducted as per the US Income Tax Act.
• The submission of the application form marks that the applicant, unconditionally, accepts and agrees to all official rules set by the sponsor.
• The decision of the sponsor will be final and binding.
