WhatsApp stops working on iPhone 6 and users have taken to Twitter to express their “grief”. WhatsApp announced a list of smartphones for both Android and iOS that were no longer going to receive their support and services.
WhatsApp keeps on updating its application for the various Operating Systems to enhance its security and privacy and it comes as no surprise that devices running older versions of iOS and Android OS will be a concern for the Meta-owned company.
Over the years, WhatsApp has received a lot of backlash with issues raised over privacy concerns and security. WhatsApp is undoubtedly one of the most popular messaging apps, especially in Ghana.
From today, November 1, 2021, WhatsApp will stop on devices running on Android 4.4 and older.
Smartphones such as iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, and iPhone SE (1st generation) will stop supporting the messaging app.
Twitter users are having a field day with this new development by trolling iPhone 6 users. One user wrote:

While this might be “sad” for most users, it does not stop the majority from making fun out of it. We will keep you posted on any new development in relation to this.
