The much anticipated Grande finale of the MTN Ayoba Hackathon Ghana 2021 happened on 17th September with Academy App winning Ghc 20,000.00 and other souvenirs.
A competition geared to promote and support young app developers in Ghana has groomed participants who were given chance to be awarded amongst 271 applicants. Academy App was won the overall best App.
Academy App developed by Prince Owusu stood up amongst all other Apps in the competition. The App is an educational tool meant to resolve the stress in learning in Ghana. It provides a platform for students to learn on any subject of their choice. Features that make learning more interesting with an engaging user experience.
Ayoba Hackaton Grand Finale awarded top 3 apps amongst the 5 qualifiers received cash prize of GHC20,000.00, Ghc10,000.00 and Ghc8,000.00 for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Academy won the ultimate award with Amerya and Stride taking the 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
At the end of the competition, the participants were elated about the support MTN Ghana has given to the tech space in Ghana. MTN Ghana believes in the future of tech and has a proven record to projecting powerful ideas.
The Ayoba Super App hosts all apps of the participants at the just ended #AyobaHackGh where they can leverage on the over million database by MTN Ghana to help reach their niche.
Prince Owusu, the winner of the #AyobaHackathonGrandeFinale expressed his unexpected win. He says the competition was very competitive and he least expected to make it to the top. His next move would be to improve on his app idea. Hopefully, the Ghana education system should be able to leverage on this application to make students study more easily.
